Abfad provided Confined space rescue and Safety Cover works to the recent Major outage at Eon’s Steven Croft Power Station this involved 24 hour working on a very Busy/ tight project timescale. They were selected for this project after a very professional performance at Stevens Croft during the 2015 Minor outage. Once again they performed to a very high level providing safety cover and support as well as supporting the site on any other works they could do.

Firstly I would like to say that your lads were excellent in all aspects. I know that one did speak to our lead mechanical engineer with regards to tank linings. I will make sure that all departments get the information regarding the other services you provide. I do know that our facilities lead was very interested in what they had to say. I am sure you will be asked to provide emergency rescue cover here at Shotton again.

The team that you dispatched to the WARRIOR were a credit to your company, the capable manner in which they completed all tasks and the method adopted to keep the decks looking spick and span during and after each evolution, speaks volumes for the consideration and professionalism they employed. I would have no hesitation in recommending your team to anyone with similar tasks.

ABFAD LTD have held the specialist access contract at E.ON Connah’s Quay Power Station since March 1998. During this period Abfad’s range of disciplines has increased from the initial rope access work contract, and now carry out various duties including – General steel fabrication, welding/grinding, NDT inspections, specialist coatings, painting, blast cleaning/specialist preparation, general cleaning, roof repairs, lagging/insulation. The expansion in Abfad’s site duties, and the continuation of their contract renewal has been possible due to their extremely high standards of workmanship and an unblemished safety record, which has enabled them to successfully tender for work on other E.ON sites. I can without hesitation, recommend Abfad for any site duties that fall within their expanding company profile.

I would like to commend your company for the work carried out on Das Island during the April / May 2000 shutdown. During this time you conducted a corrosion survey on two flare towers including a comprehensive report for each structure. Other work completed to specification was a complete blast and spray coating of one of the flare towers (80 metres) to ground level using rope access techniques. All work was carried out safely and to our specification. On behalf of ADGAS I would like to thank you for your professionalism and efforts during this high productive period on the island.

Abfad have been one of BP’s approved contractors for underground storage tank lining works. This approval is based on the quality of there systems and processes and in particular there approach to HSSE including there adoption of styrene free products. Abfad have completed a number of projects for us and have always been open to helping us find the most cost effective solution for the repair and relining of both single and double wall tanks.

I can confirm that Simon Storage Ltd. has employed Abfad Ltd. to provide double skin lining systems with vacuum inter-space monitoring on the floors of two vertical cylindrical above-ground storage tanks containing fuels. The quality of workmanship was excellent and the monitoring system employed will provide us with a continuous record of tank floor integrity.

I can confirm that we (TOTAL UK Ltd) employed the services of an independent consultant to carry-out a technical assessment of the lining systems currently on the UK market. Following the assessment I can confirm that Abfad became an accredited supplier of lining systems to TOTAL UK. Abfad have since carried out projects for TOTAL in the UK, to a very high standard, the quality of the workmanship provided was excellent and the lining and monitoring systems installed have extended the life of our underground storage tanks.

Abfad originally won the tender based upon its methodology and price and have undertaken numerous relines of our underground petroleum storage tanks. We have always found Abfad to be highly professional in both their approach and attitude to the task and they continually look to improve upon there working methods. They proposed a change to the testing methodology which has reduced slightly the total downtime we would normally experience on site.

I would like to take this opportunity to express our thanks to Abfad for the way your company completed the 9 week programme of work at BP’s Coryton refinery. Embarking initially on a scope to complete the ultrasonic corrosion monitoring of various piping systems associated with the 1999 Fuels and Cracker Turnarounds, this was increased to cover the clean out and subsequently the replacement of sections of the deluge systems on a number of spheres within the Fuels and Cracking complex, and latterly to undertake lamination checks on the South Flare stack and associated 42″ lines to establish sound base material prior to welding. All work was carried out expeditiously and all your rope technicians were co-operative with the risk assessments, method statements, permit to work systems and the overall safety aspects of undertaking this type of work. The quality of workmanship undertaken was of a high standard in compliance with the BP specifications. All in all, a very good all round solid performance from Abfad.

Last week we held the final meeting of the company steering group regarding the project. At that meeting we reviewed the performance of the contractors used on the PM 13 Project. I am very pleased to inform you that Abfad were highlighted as one of rather a few who demonstrated an exemplary level of professionalism and performance to safety. Please pass on our thanks to all at Abfad who helped make the PM 13 Project safe.

Please accept my thanks and admiration for the work carried out to repair the internal dome gantry at Monument Mall. Prior to the works commencing and more importantly during, the attention to detail by all those concerned is to be highly commended. From start to finish I have no complaints from the customer perspective as not only were my expectations met but were bettered in that I was kept informed about every stage of the project works. I have no hesitation in recommending Abfad to anyone who is considering using the company in the future. Once again thank you for a job well done.
