Depot storage tank cleaned and blasted to SA2½ standard in preparation for double skin lining system, complete with termination areas marked out. Once tank is prepared as above UT inspection is carried out to determine the condition of the steel thickness. Particular attention to weld seams, pitted areas and tank bottom.

 

 

Chemical resistant coating applied to blasted steel as first stage of the double skin system. Termination areas remain uncoated as can be seen around pipe penetrations, tank sump and overlapping on tank wall.

Class 1 Vacuum Leak Detection Units installed complete with pipe work from tank protected through unistrut and trunking.

In addition to audible alarms flashing beacons can also be installed to alert site personnel to a potential leak

 

Vacuum Units can also be installed in weather proof housings outside storage tank bund walls.

 

 

Pipework run from tank to class 1 vacuum unit installed and protected by white capping.
